So, how many of you out there who have had baby rats have found that they really like to try things out with their teeth? Like your fingers? How does one go about getting them to lick instead of biting to test something out? I am trying, and I will let you know if it works, to put either the formula or the Ensure on my finger tip and see if they will lick it off. Most of them have so far. Then once I see they have the hang of doing that first before trying the bite part, I will offer something solid and see if they lick or bite. Then if they lick, I will try to offer my finger all by itself and see if they lick or bite. Cross your fingers! |
